Iran’s customs chief says exports without oil have risen 22 percent compared to the same period last year (March 27-September 21), reaching 70 million metric tons. He said the total value of the exports was $ 21 billion, but he did not mention the financial value of the exports last year.
He announced that imports last year were $ 25.1 billion, down 15 percent this year. However, US sanctions have robbed Iran’s 90 percent of its revenues, which was the main source of income for the government to maintain bureaucracy and the military.
